Our Village

Hextable village goes back to early Saxon times when the original name ‘Hagestaple’ referred to a boundary post. It is a semi-rural village and nestles among the larger urban towns of Dartford, Swanley and Bexley. More recently, in 2008, Hextable achieved independence from Swanley Town Council and formed its own parish council. You will not find any pubs in the village because of historic covenants by 19th century landowners, but you don’t have to go far to find one! The village is surrounded by green belt land - much of it used by nurseries, garden centres and small farms.
